Today, a revised maritime Memorandum of Understanding has been handed over by Andreas Nordseth, Director General of the Danish Maritime Authority on behalf of the Danish Minister for Industry, Business and Financial Affairs to the Indonesian Deputy Coordinating Minister for Maritime Sovereignty and Energy, Pak Jodi, from the Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Investment. The MoU provides a strong platform for innovative maritime partnerships between Denmark and Indonesia, in regards to both government-to-government cooperation and private sector engagement.
“With this MoU we strengthen Danish-Indonesian maritime cooperation on important issues such as green shipping, maritime spatial planning and not least seafarer competences. I had the pleasure of having a fruitful exchange with Deputy Minister Pak Jodi on our future strategic sector cooperation. On both sides we are looking very much forward to getting started”, says Andreas Nordseth.
