Schools and institutions

The requirements that apply when you are about to go sailing depend on whether it concerns commercial or recreational sailing. For example, voyages for schools and institutions are commercial voyages, whereas voyages for the members of sailing clubs and associations are recreational voyages. Furthermore, there are additional regulations if the vessel carries more than 12 passengers.

Regulations on voyages with students

We have drawn up regulations that apply to small vessels carrying up to 12 passengers.

The regulations are available here.

The regulations stipulate, inter alia, that each individual school or institution is obliged to work intensively to secure that the voyage is safe, for example by drawing up safety instructions
