Approved providers

Approved providers have taken over the task of authorising external examiners for tests for yachtsmen. Therefore, you must contact an approved provider if you intend to register for or hold a test for yachtsmen.

The Danish Maritime Authority administers the recording of those who have completed the tests. The Danish Maritime Authority will therefore keep a consolidated record of yachtsmen's tests; this record will be available to each individual yachtsman from "My page", where you need to log in by means of NemID.

Issue of yachtsmen certificates

The approved providers are issuing most types of certificates for yachtsmen by authority of the Danish Maritime Authority​.
This will be reflected on the issued certificate.

The approced providers are currently authorized to issue Personal watercraft certificates, Powerboat certificates, Certificates of competency for yachtsmen and SRC certificates​.

Certificates of competency​ as Yachtmaster ​​are issued by the Danish Maritime Auhtority.

Approved providers

Approved providers can be approved to hold tests for all types of certificates for yachtsmen. At the same time, the Danish Maritime Authority will no longer keep a corps of external examiners and, therefore, it will no longer be possible to request an external examiner via the Danish Maritime Authority.

Consequently, you must direct all requests for external examiners in connection with the holding of tests for yachtsmen to the approved providers of tests and certificates for yachtsmen.
