Authorisations

The Danish Maritime Authority can authorise companies or individuals to carry out the approval work as well as examination and tests of ships, marine equipment and other products that must be approved by the Danish Maritime Authority.

The work is carried out under responsibility vis-à-vis the Danish Maritime Authority.

On this page, you will find the information to be used in connection with the authorisation work.

The Authorisation handbook of the Danish Maritime Authority contains an overview of the authorisation areas and competences and requirements that the authorised individual or company must meet to acquire an authorisation within the relevant areas.​

Who is authorised?

The Danish Maritime Authority authorises companies or individuals to perform approval work and examinations and tests of ships, marine equipment and other products that must be approved by the Danish Maritime Authority. The work is done with responsibility to the Danish Maritime Authority.

It is the company's own responsibility that the authorisation is renewed upon expiry or in case of changed conditions. The Danish Maritime Authority will remove expired authorisations from the overview.​​

  • CVR number, telephone and email
  • Number of authorisation area
  • A description of how the applicant meets the conditions and requirements
  • Attach documentation, if relevant, in the form of for example certificates and experience
  • In addition, a description of the equipment used, if relevant

The application form can be filled out online
