Exemption for safe manning document

​​In special circumstances, the Danish Maritime Authority can grant exemptions from the requirement for a certificate for a specific position on board.

However, such exemptions are granted only for a single voyage or for a specific period of time of no more than six months. The shipowner must fill in the form below and forward it to the Danish Maritime Authority, giving a reason for requesting the exemption as well as an account of how the necessary on-board safety is intended to be secured.
