BELTREP and SOUNDREP
In Denmark, there are two ship reporting systems approved by the UN’s International Maritime Organization (IMO) – BELTREP and SOUNDREP. It is mandatory for ships of a certain size to report specific information to the BELTREP and SOUNDREP ship reporting systems.
The mandatory ship reporting systems BELTREP and SOUNDREP are operated daily by the 24-hour manned vessel traffic services VTS Great Belt and VTS Øresund.

Vessel Traffic Service in the Fehmarn Belt
Additionally, a temporary and voluntary vessel traffic service has been established in the Fehmarn Belt in connection with the construction of the Fehmarn Belt fixed link. The Naval Command under the Danish Defense Command operates the Danish vessel traffic services in the Great Belt, Øresund, and Fehmarn Belt.
