Diving equipment used for diving operations in Denmark and from Danish ships must be surveyed and approved by the Danish Maritime Authority.

Surveys of inshore diving equipment can be requested either online or by telephone:

Request surveys

Questions about inshore diving should be addressed to:

  • Greenland: DMA survey office NUUK – Michael Lantz – mlz@dma.dk or +299 564 150

The Danish Maritime Authority keeps an overview of approved diving companies for inshore diving in Denmark. Approved diving companies have a permit (certificate) that is valid for three years, and after this period the Danish Maritime Authority pays a visit to the company to survey the diving equipment and the procedures. If this survey is to the satisfaction of the Danish Maritime Authority, a new permit will be issued that is valid for three years.

If you would like to know whether a diving company has been approved for inshore diving in Denmark, please contact the Danish Maritime Authority by email: cfs@dma.dk or one of the ship surveyors mentioned above.
