Denmark, Norway, and the United States to lead Zero-Emission Shipping Mission

Published 02-06-2021

Today, we launch the Zero-Emission Shipping Mission with the aim to accelerate the green transition of global shipping.

With the aim to scale new green maritime solutions, the Mission strives to develop, demonstrate, and deploy zero-emission fuels, ships, and fuel infrastructure in a coordinated fashion along the entire value chain.

Denmark is co-leading the Mission together with the United States, Norway, Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping and Global Maritime Forum. The strong, international public-private partnership must ensure that zero-emission ships and fuels become commercially attractive worldwide for the benefit of global shipping.

Additional partners are France, Ghana, India, Morocco, Singapore, South Korea and the United Kingdom.
