Like last year, the IMO lights up its London headquarters in blue to mark World Maritime Day. With this year’s theme – "New technologies for greener shipping" – IMO emphasizes the need to support shipping's green transition.

It requires global, ambitious rules and cooperation between authorities and companies, which can pave the way for an efficient and sustainable transition. It is crucial that everyone plays along if the potential of green technologies is to be realized.
