Survey and case consideration ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​

The hourly rate is ​1880 DKK for ​time spent on surveys and case consideration on the following types of surveys:

  • Mandatory surveys of ships other than fishing vessels carried out in Denmark and Greenland, excl. the Faroe Islands.
  • Mandatory renewal surveys and intermediate surveys of fishing vessels carried out in Denmark
  • Initial survey of fishing vessels where it has been impossible to initiate the planned survey, been necessary to discontinue it or been impossible to finalise it within a fixed basis time due to conditions pertaining to the customer
  • Surveys of fishing vessels where the survey is carried out outside normal working hours upon request
  • ​PSC surveys (port State control) of foreign or Faroese ships following detention
  • In connection with subsequent surveys of Danish ships in Denmark following detention in PSC surveys
  • ​In connection with extraordinary audits following marine or occupational accidents or detentions where there are signs of non-conformities in the ISM systems
  • Approval of marine equipment and vessels
  • Approval and control of STS operators, audits of their quality management systems and control surveys of STS operations
  • ​Surveys carried out on fishing vessels and other ships because it has not been explained satisfactorily how previously identified non-conformities have been rectified
  • Work with ISM certification that the Danish Maritime Authority decides to carry out itself instead of a recognised classification society

The hourly rate is ​1880 DKK for time spent on surveys, case consideration and travel as well as travel and accommodation expenses on the following types of surveys:

  • ​Mandatory surveys of ships carried out abroad, incl. the Faroe Islands
  • Journeys in vain for surveys of all types of ships in Denmark, Greenland and abroad
  • Approval of marine equipment and vessels abroad
  • Approval and control of STS operators, audits of their quality management systems and control surveys of STS operations abroad
  • ​In connection with surveys in Greenland where the survey is, upon the customer's request, carried out without consideration of the Danish Maritime Authority's planning of its other survey activities
  • Follow-up surveys of Danish ships abroad following detention after PSC surveys

The hourly rate is ​1880 DKK for time spent on surveys and case consideration, plus a separate payment of expenses for shore-to ship transportation and back on the following types of surveys:

  • Surveys carried out on board ships at sea

The hourly rate is ​1880 DKK for time spent on surveys, case consideration and travelling as well as travelling and accommodation expenses on the following types of surveys:

  • Surveys where classification societies, other companies or individuals are authorised to carry out surveys, investigations or the like on behalf of the Danish Maritime Authority, but where the Danish Maritime Authority is requested to carry out the work
  • Non-mandatory surveys which are, upon request, carried out on Danish or foreign ships
  • ​In connection with surveys where the Danish Maritime Authority has carried out a complete or partial initial survey before the ship engages in trade and it is, contrary to expectation not admitted to one of the Danish registers
  • ​In connection with surveys carried out by the Danish Maritime Authority because an exemption has been granted from the requirement to be in class

Payment for issuing certificates

The price for the bunkers certificate is 300 DKK

(the certificate will not be issued until the Danish Maritime Authority has received the payment)

The price is for the CLC certificate is 645 DKK.

The price for the AFS certificate is 240 DKK

(the certificate will not be issued until the Danish Maritime Authority has received the payment)

The price for the wreck removal certificate is 315 DKK.

The price for the Athens certificate – war insurance and non-war insurance is 50 DKK

(the certificate will not be issued until the Danish Maritime Authority has received the payment

Payment

The fees are due for payment 30 days after invoice date.

Authority

Executive order no. 1301 of 04/12/2019 Order on payment for the tasks performed by the Danish Maritime Authority as part of the inspection of pilotage assignments, pilots and pilotage service providers

The Danish maritime authority grants 30 days credit in connection with billing. Excluded hereof is the issuing of certificates, where the payment must be made beforehand. In case of lack of payment, the Danish maritime authority will impose a charge of DKK 114.00 for each issued reminder. The amount due can be recovered by distress and may be charged with interest at the interest rate stipulated in the law on interest on late payment.

The legal basis for charging appears in act nr. 268 of March 28, 2013 “Act of payment for inspection of ships etc.”, act nr. 738 of July 14, 2005 “Act of payment for inspection of ships etc. in Greenland”, act nr. 838 of August 18, 2008 “Act of certificates to confirm insurance or other guarantee to cover civil liability for pollution damages caused by bunker oil from ships”, and act nr. 217 of April 8, 1998 “Act of insurance or other guarantee to cover the private liability for oil damages from ships” as amended in act nr. 948 of June 18, 2018
