If you have paid any of the following fees in the years mentioned below, you can now apply for a partial fee refund.
Fee – CLC-certificate
The fee charged for CLC certificates issued in the period December 10th 2010 to January 1st 2016 was set at DKK 1,000. When recalculating the actual costs, the Danish Maritime Authority determined that the fee has been set too high.
Business who have paid CLC-certificates issued in the period December 10th 2010 to January 1st 2016 are therefore entitled to a refund of DKK 570 from the Danish Maritime Authority.
Apply for partial refund of fees for issuing CLC-certificates in the period December 10th 2010 to January 1st 2016
We must receive your application by 1 October 2031. On that date, all claims for refunds will be time-barred according to section 3(3)(iv) of the Danish Act on Limitations.
Fee – Bunker certificate
The fee charged for Bunker certificates issued in the period August 20th 2008 to January 1st 2016 was set at DKK 1,300. When recalculating the actual costs, the Danish Maritime Authority determined that the fee has been set too high.
Business who have paid Bunker certificates issued in the period August 20th 2008 to January 1st 2016 are therefore entitled to a refund of DKK 1,025 from the Danish Maritime Authority.
Apply for partial refund of fees for issuing Bunker certificates in the period August 20th 2008 to January 1st 2016
We must receive your application by 1 October 2031. On that date, all claims for refunds will be time-barred according to section 3(3)(iv) of the Danish Act on Limitations.
Fee – wreck removal certificate
The fee for issue of a wreck removal certificate in the period 2015-2018 was set at DKK 1,250. When recalculating the actual costs, the Danish Maritime Authority determined that the fees should have been as follows:

Citizens and businesses who have paid for wreck removal certificates issued in 2015 are therefore entitled to a refund of DKK 438 from the Danish Maritime Authority. For certificates issued in 2016, a refund of DKK 761 may be claimed and so on.
Claims for a partial refund will generally lapse 10 years after the due date stated in the invoice and/or reminder.
Reminder fee – ship survey
The reminder fee for overdue payment for ship surveys in the period 2008-2018 was set at DKK 250. When recalculating the actual costs, the Danish Maritime Authority determined that the fee should have been set at DKK 94.
Citizens and businesses who have paid reminder fees for overdue payment for ship surveys charged in 2008-2018 are therefore entitled to a refund of DKK 156 per reminder fee paid.
Claims for a partial refund will generally lapse 10 years after the due date stated in the invoice and/or reminder.
Reminder fee – annual ship registration fee
The reminder fee for overdue payment of annual ship registration fees in the period 2013-2018 was set at DKK 250. When recalculating the actual costs, the Danish Maritime Authority determined that the fee should have been set at DKK 76. The Danish Maritime Authority has also established that it was not authorised to charge the second and third reminder fees.
Citizens and businesses who have paid reminder fees for overdue payment of the annual ship registration fees charged in 2013-2018 are therefore entitled to a refund of DKK 174 per first reminder fee paid and, if relevant, DKK 250 per second and third reminder fees paid.
Claims for a partial refund will generally lapse 10 years after the due date stated in the invoice and/or reminder. However, the limitation period is three years for any unauthorised charge of second and third reminder fees.
