Focus on Sustainable Blue Economy at European Maritime Day 2024 in Svendborg

Today, European Maritime Day in Svendborg was kicked off with an opening speech by the Danish Minister for Industry, Business, and Maritime Affairs, Morten Bødskov, where he highlighted the importance of ensuring economic growth as well as securing sustainable use of marine resources.

European Maritime Day is an annual event where Europe's maritime community gathers to network, discuss, and outline joint actions on maritime affairs and the sustainable blue economy. This year's event features 24 expert-led workshops and numerous opportunities for maritime professionals to connect and collaborate on matters such as fisheries, maritime spatial planning, marine ecosystems and the green transition.
