Fruitful discussions at this year’s Consultative Shipping Group meetings in Washington D.C.

This week, the Danish Maritime Authority is hosting the annual meetings of the Consultative Shipping Group (CSG), which is taking place in Washington, D.C. this year.

In addition to meetings within the CSG, there has also been meetings with the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) as well as with representatives of US authorities. The meetings provided a platform for fruitful discussions and exchange of experiences on topics such as maritime safety and the situation in the Red Sea, green transition, and challenges related to the attraction and retention of seafarers.

Since 2007, Denmark has held the chairmanship and secretariat function of the CSG, which consists of 18 countries in Europe, Asia, and Canada, all working towards open and unimpeded access to international maritime markets.
